There is opportunity on the Trinity River of hatchery steelhead, which is great table fair for those who love to eat fish. I primarily practice catch and release, but the option is there.

When you go toe to toe with a big fish that made the journey from the river, went all the way to the ocean, and back to the river again, you are dealing with one amazingly strong animal. The beautiful Sacramento River flows from Shasta Dam all the way into California's Central Valley. This river is the heart line of Northern California. It supplies our agricultural farms with all the water they need to produce the rice, fruits, and veggies. It is also an absolute incredible fishery! The beautiful rainbow trout fishing in the Redding area to Anderson is one of the most incredible trophy trout fisheries I have ever seen, and you can almost fish it 365 days a year!
